Celeriac also makes for a lovely cream soup. I think you would enjoy the delicate taste of celeriac.

Claudia, I've been on a real maple syrup kick. It is a lovely reminder that spring is here. We surely can't rely on the cold damp weather we've been having. They are actually announcing snow for the end of the week.

Nancy and Vjay, you really should give it a try. It has a delicate taste. Makes for a refreshing side dish.

Thanks Dee Dee, I've followed up on your invite.

Lizzy, thanks for the comment.

Thoma, celeriac is a surprisingly light root vegetable with quite a mild taste. It also has a low starch content. The maple sugaring season usually ends at the end of April, but we are so fortunate to have access to the syrup all year round.

Thanks Alisha, celeriac remoulade is one of our favourite salads. It's quite common in our province, given the French culture.Anna Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07936379445132121497noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1766787578613058302.post-34020343503269898192011-04-18T15:01:00.978-04:002011-04-18T15:01:00.978-04:00I love this and your vinaigrette is just fantastic...I love this and your vinaigrette is just fantastic!Magic of Spicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05034283259164629148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1766787578613058302.post-6412584556658717012011-04-17T21:32:21.010-04:002011-04-17T21:32:21.010-04:00wow Anna,a totally new root for me! and the maple ...wow Anna,a totally new root for me! and the maple fair is still on i guess!!

looks thouroughly mouth watering!!the Junkie bookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09309144854596165164noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1766787578613058302.post-25259014595395260612011-04-17T19:10:02.179-04:002011-04-17T19:10:02.179-04:00This recipe has convinced me to buy some celeriac....This recipe has convinced me to buy some celeriac...looks like a wonderfully tasty salad!Liz That Skinny Chick Can Bakehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03258699925063180509noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1766787578613058302.post-15037969763806534292011-04-17T15:09:30.720-04:002011-04-17T15:09:30.720-04:00This sound great, I am hosting a linky party calle...This sound great, I am hosting a linky party called Sunday Buffet, Your welcome to add these to the Buffet line! http://deedeesdelights.blogspot.com/p/sunday-buffet.htmlDeanna Samaanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15897944926028335427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1766787578613058302.post-26671242439617652962011-04-17T14:43:07.718-04:002011-04-17T14:43:07.718-04:00I've always been curious about using celery ro...I've always been curious about using celery root, it looks so interesting.
